Pulse Aerospace announces integration of the Silvus Streamcaster 4200

Posted By: Pulse Aerospace.

Pulse Aerospace, the premier developer of helicopter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) platforms in the United States, has publicly announced the successful integration of the Silvus Streamcaster 4200. SC4200 is a 2×2 MIMO radio, delivering best-in-class performance and efficiency in a miniature package. It is ideal for use in portable and embedded applications where size, weight, power or cost are key.

By integrating the Streamcaster 4200 the operational range and effectiveness of the Pulse Aerospace Vapor 55 has been greatly expanded upon. The modular radio allows for high bandwidth data transmission for both C2 as well as payload data transmission. With the Vapor 55 fully integrated with the SC 4200 Pulse Aerospace has been able to demonstrate >20Mbs at distances greater than 10 miles.

With BVLOS being highly anticipated as one of the next steps for the FAA to fully integrate UAS into the national airspace, effective and proven pairings of UAS and communication links will be a critical step in the approval process. By demonstrating and pairing two leading companies in their respective industry’s Pulse Aerospace and Silvus Technologies are leading the charge in safe and reliable BVLOS UAS operations.

About Pulse Aerospace®

Pulse Aerospace® is the premier developer of helicopter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) technology in the United States. Pulse’s HeliSynthTM technology brings dynamics, control, payload, and endurance capabilities historically limited to high cost military vehicles, to commercially relevant price points and systems. Pulse’s leadership has served military, commercial, university, and non-military government VTOL UAS customers for nearly a decade. Pulse’s technical advantages are recognized in both light and heavy payload applications using traditional helicopter designs that are more scalable than other vehicle configurations.

About Silvus Technologies

In 2004, Silvus was founded with a mission to be at the forefront of bringing the revolutionary benefits of MIMO communication technology to the transmission of high fidelity video, voice and data in harsh conditions. Silvus assembled a team of scientists and engineers to pursue US Government-funded R&D opportunities that address severe multipath, Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) propagation, interference, high mobility and spectrum congestion. Today, Silvus continues to innovate, with an ever-growing lineup of R&D contracts, COTS products, and happy customers. The experience gained through our early research efforts made possible the first generation of StreamCaster radios, and new concepts currently incubating in our R&D labs will pave the way for tomorrow’s product breakthroughs.
